As Principal of Axis Worldwide, Chris Margiotta oversees an experienced staff with his unique mix of business development and operational experience that spans over 28 years in the industry. He leads a staff of division directors, project managers and project coordinators within the corporate office and throughout our regional offices.
Chris manages all aspects of the hospitality and industrial logistics divisions relating to operational processes and technology within our diverse domestic and international projects. His work is a direct culmination of a lifetime in direct operations constantly evaluating processes and defining the ideal sophisticated niche logistics provider we have become.
In 2008, his dream was to separate the industrial and hospitality divisions and focus on delivering excellent customer service for all segments relating to project management, FF&E freight management, warehouse and installation.
Some of his new construction and renovation projects include Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos, Starwood, Hyatt and Hilton Hotels. Other projects included over 400 mixed hotel, casino, restaurant, and retail projects globally.
Dan has been coordinating domestic LTL and truckload (TL) transportation since 2004, leveraging extensive industry expertise and a deep understanding of freight systems to deliver exceptional service to clients. In addition to conducting carrier pricing analysis, he oversees our day-to-day transportation operations for many of Axis’s domestic accounts across the country. As a key member of the Axis team, Dan plays an integral role in daily operations and leadership. His extensive industry knowledge, combined with strong carrier relationships and customer service, enables him to identify and execute the most effective logistics solutions for every shipment under his management.
Stacey is an international logistics leader with 15 years of experience managing end-to-end global supply chains across more than 20 countries. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political communications from the University of Texas at Austin and has since completed additional credentials in logistics, including an active U.S. Customs Broker License and a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. Her career has focused on solving complex challenges at the intersection of freight operations, compliance, and technology.
At Ryder, she led the company’s most complex international TMS implementation, enabling global supply chain visibility for the first time and reducing customer reporting gaps by 95%. She also improved speed-to-market from European facilities by 50% and developed Power BI dashboards now used across five teams. Her expertise spans ocean and air freight (import and export), customs brokerage, trade compliance, drayage, freight forwarding, ITAR and government licensing, Incoterms, carrier negotiation, and customer QBRs. She is proficient in CargoWise, Power BI, Tableau, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Kimberly brings over 24 years of experience in the logistics industry and has been with Axis throughout its growth. She handles sales and operations for her clients and specializes in truckloads, power only, and expedite shipments.
She has maintained customers throughout her career due to her knowledge of the industry, network and amazing customer service.
Kimberly goes above and beyond for her customers and she excels in understanding each client’s needs.
With more than 23 years in the transportation industry, Christine now focuses her talents in human resources collaborating with our CFO and HR department to ensure all employee policies and procedures comply with local, state, and federal laws. Since the beginning of her career, Christine has embraced the philosophies that people are what truly matters in a company and that you should always treat others as you expect to be treated. These principles are the tenets that have allowed Axis to create a working environment which encourages a high level of employee engagement and productivity, resulting not only in exceptional employee relations but world-class customer service.
Nick leads domestic transportation operations for the St. Louis office, overseeing air freight, LTL, truckload, and 24/7 expedited services. In his role as Domestic Operations Manager, he focuses on driving operational efficiency, maintaining strong service performance, and collaborating with clients and internal partners to develop tailored transportation solutions that support each customer’s supply chain objectives.
With a solid background in domestic logistics and freight management, Nick works closely with customers, carriers, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth shipment execution and effective coordination across all modes of transportation. He is experienced in navigating complex transportation challenges while maintaining proactive, transparent communication throughout the shipping process. His broad exposure to a wide range of commodities and service requirements allows him to help design practical, results-oriented solutions that keep freight moving efficiently, reduce disruptions, and adapt to evolving customer needs.
Nick studied business at Santa Monica College. Outside of work, he is married to his wife, Kait, and is the father of a son, Nick Jr. He enjoys staying active through fitness and participating in outdoor sports such as golf and fishing. Recognized for his problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to service excellence, Nick plays an important role in supporting a collaborative team environment and upholding the high standards our customers expect from our transportation operations.
Alex serves as International Operations Manager at Axis Worldwide Supply Chain & Logistics, Inc., where he oversees global air and ocean import/export operations and helps drive efficient, reliable supply chain solutions for clients worldwide. Working closely with the Director of International Operations, Alex manages daily international freight movements while ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service.
With more than seven years of logistics and transportation experience, Alex has developed extensive expertise in international freight forwarding, customs documentation, and global supply chain coordination. His career began with UPS before advancing into the international third-party logistics (3PL) sector, where he specialized in import coordination and international operations management. Alex is responsible for developing and improving import/export processes, managing critical shipping documentation, and providing strategic support to clients navigating the complexities of international trade. His hands-on approach and deep industry knowledge help ensure shipments move seamlessly across global markets.
He earned an Associate Degree in Biology from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. Combining strong analytical skills with practical logistics expertise, Alex is dedicated to delivering customized solutions that support clients’ international shipping and supply chain objectives.
Nick is a seasoned logistics and supply chain professional with over 14 years of experience spanning operations, consulting, and business development, including 10 years in the Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) sector. He is a proven business development professional and “hunter” of new business and strategic relationships within the logistics industry, with a strong track record of driving growth through customer acquisition and partnership development.
Nick served five years in the United States Navy (2007–2012) as a Special Forces Intelligence Analyst (MOS 3912). During his service, he completed two ship deployments, visiting 18 countries, and supported operations in Baghdad, Iraq alongside SEAL Team 8 in 2010. His military background established a strong foundation in discipline, analytical thinking, and mission-critical execution under pressure. Following his military service, Nick entered the logistics industry as a dock worker and advanced rapidly through progressive leadership roles, ultimately becoming Interim Operations Manager within five years. He was subsequently promoted into Business Development with USF Holland, where he focused on expanding customer relationships and driving regional growth.
While at USF Holland, Nick earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. He was later recruited by XPO as a Local Account Executive, where he spent four years developing and growing local business throughout the St. Louis market.
Nick brings a unique combination of frontline operational experience, military leadership, and high-performing sales expertise within logistics. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors, as well as coaching and raising his three daughters with his wife, Alexis.
Nicole Lane brings over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. She is a graduate of University of Missouri, St. Louis.
In addition, Nicole worked over 10 years in public accounting. Her role at Axis Worldwide is to oversee accounting and finance operations, as well as developing and maintaining the financial reporting systems.
In addition to her responsibilities with accounting and finance she is also a member of the executive team at Axis Worldwide. In this role Nicole assists Chris in developing corporate policies, strategic business planning, and staffing.
Jacob Roeder is a highly motivated logistics professional with a strong background in customer service, sales, and transportation management. He developed valuable leadership and client relationship skills while serving as a Team Lead at Bass Pro Shops, where he gained extensive experience in sales operations and customer engagement. Since transitioning into the logistics industry, Jacob has excelled in managing complex transportation requirements for a diverse portfolio of clients. His experience spans Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Full Truckload (FTL), expedited freight services, and heads our freight audit department, where he has demonstrated a strong ability to coordinate shipments, optimize transportation solutions, and deliver exceptional customer support.
Currently, Jacob plays a key role in our domestic transportation operations, working directly with both truckload, cargo van expedites and LTL freight movements. His attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to customer satisfaction have made him a valuable asset to our team and have positioned him for continued growth within the logistics industry.
Jacob attended Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, where he studied Criminal Justice while maintaining a strong interest in supply chain and transportation logistics. Chris Rowland brings over 40 years of experience in international logistics and transportation sectors. He expertly manages a team of export agents in working with international freight forwarders, manufacturers, importers, air and ocean carriers and international banks.
Chris was instrumental in establishing a preferred carrier program which streamlined operations and stabilized freight costs for international shipments.
He continues to find ways to improve our quote accuracy, efficiency and response times for our clients.
Nate brings over 25 years of experience in sales and business development within the logistics industry, along with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and reliability. He is dedicated to building long-term client relationships founded on trust, consistency, and performance. Nate is a graduate of the University of Illinois. Beyond his professional work, he has a deep passion for the outdoors, particularly hunting, competitive trap shooting, and fishing—interests he often shares with his clients. These shared values have helped foster enduring relationships spanning decades, grounded in mutual respect, trust, and a genuine appreciation for both business and personal connection.

Anthony extends the reach and service of Axis as the Terminal Manager at the Axis warehouse location in Calexico, CA. Anthony has over 30 years of experience in the logistics industry and his expertise ranges from operations, business development and customs regulations in Mexico.
He plays a pivotal role for Axis clients that import and export to Mexico. He was instrumental in acquiring one of the first bonded warehouse facilities in Calexico.
Anthony and his team solidify broker relationships, operate cross dock services and provide solutions for clients in Mexico and the U.S.
Zachary is a Logistics Operations Coordinator specializing in truckload, LTL, and expedited freight solutions, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
After earning a bachelor’s degree from Belmont University, where he studied Business Communication and Commercial Music, Zachary began his career in the hospitality industry before transitioning into facilities operations. Jorge manages the distribution systems at the Calexico office and warehouse and ensures the efficiency of operations for air freight, warehouse logistics, and expedite ground shipments. In addition, he is a TSA Security Coordinator and has profound knowledge of the requirements and regulations of TSA.
Jorge has sound knowledge of industry standards and provides solutions everyday on carrier utilization and cost analysis for each client.
Javier is a results-driven efficient warehouse manager overseeing our U.S. Customs bonded distribution center located in Calexico/Mexicali. Adept at implementing and managing inventory audits/cycle counts while overseeing our cross-dock operations along with the daily loading – unloading of a variety of carriers are all examples of his ability to multitask. Javier has been a stellar loyal employee of Axis Worldwide since our inception back in 1997. His ability to manage our distribution center servicing all of our trucking, expedite and warehouse inventory needs has been incredible to say the least. The Calexico team is a solid group of individuals whom have remained loyal to our company since the beginning
Laura brings over 20 years of experience in customer service and 10 years in Small Business Accounting, she assists the operations team daily in the processing of carrier cost, customer billing and helps to resolve accessorial issues as well as Accounting duties.
Laura is a Graduate of Lindenwood University, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Accounting.
Lauren Stringer, the Director of Procurement, brings to Axis Hospitality over 11 years in the FF&E/OS&E Hospitality Procurement Industry. With her background in Interior Design, she is able to understand each aspect of the project from start to finish. She works with each client to ensure strong communication and project transparency throughout the entire procurement process. The success of each projects is marked by her excellent organizational skills and high level of detail. Lauren has extensive experience in branded and boutique hotels as well as, Multifamily, Senior Living, Restaurants, and Student Housing.
Sabina Aguirre experience as a Procurement Project Manager in hospitality extends beyond 7 years working directly in the FF&E/OS&E industry. Sabina has a strong understanding of the critical components needed to execute a successful project and knows that effective communication and collaboration with clients, vendors, and team members alike, is key. She is skilled in negotiations, logistics, management, process improvement and has a deep passion for the Interior Design industry. Her cooperative approach has led to developing strong client and vendor relationships. She has extensive knowledge of collaborating with branded and boutique hotels, timeshare developments and restaurants.
Maricel Pelayo has over 8 years of experience working on a variety of projects ranging from hotels, restaurants, lounges, casinos, senior living, and multi-family properties all throughout the country. Along with her direct FF&E and OS&E purchasing experience, she has a proven record of providing excellent project management while ensuring customer satisfaction. Maricel is a motivated and results driven professional who takes projects from initial concept design to project completion with confidence. A graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Health Science in addition to her Associate of Applied Science in Architectural Design Technology – Interior Design from the College of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas.
Hadley McCusker is a Procurement Coordinator with Axis Worldwide’s Hospitality Division, specializing in FF&E procurement, project coordination, and procurement expediting for hospitality projects across the United States and internationally. She works closely with clients, designers, vendors, and project teams to manage submittals, track orders, coordinate deliveries, and help keep projects moving on schedule from procurement through installation.
After attending the University of South Carolina, where she studied Retail and Fashion Merchandising, Hadley built her career in hospitality procurement, gaining experience supporting leading brands including Marriott, Hilton, and a variety of boutique hotel properties. Her background includes specification writing, sourcing, purchasing, vendor coordination, and project tracking for hotel renovations, new developments, and commercial projects.
Known for her strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments, Hadley excels at building relationships with clients and vendors while ensuring project needs are met. She is highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications and enjoys helping bring hospitality projects to life through collaboration, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Katherine is a Procurement Coordinator in the hospitality industry with comprehensive experience managing end-to-end FF&E and OS&E procurement. She collaborates cross-functionally with designers, vendors, manufacturers, and senior project leadership to ensure each project aligns with design intent, budget parameters, and schedule requirements. In addition, she majored and studied Interior Design at Texas Tech University, where she developed a strong foundation in design principles and spatial planning.

Aimee Albanese excels with over 10 years of experience in hospitality FF&E and OS&E management.
With team leadership experience as a softball player and coach, she has been able to drive a team of project managers and coordinators since 2013 to exemplary customer service.
Her strong desire to consistently maintain the highest customer service for every client and the resulting customer relationships has propelled her team to growth of over 100 projects. In addition, Aimee’s ability to maintain budgets keeps the client on target.

Erik maintains a strong passion for hospitality projects and is a valued member of our project management team, specializing in warehouse and freight management. He developed his expertise through experience in the moving and storage industry. He is a graduate of Lindenwood University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Business Management. Erik has spent the past ten years working in project logistics, where he has built a strong skill set in freight coordination, warehouse operations, vendor management, scheduling, and end-to-end project execution. He is experienced in managing complex logistics timelines, ensuring efficient material flow, and supporting seamless project delivery from planning through completion.
Outside of work, Erik is active in his community and enjoys coaching hockey and playing golf. He is also involved in charitable initiatives supporting cancer awareness and research, a cause that is especially meaningful to him and his wife, Molly, a cancer survivor herself.

Alyssa Margiotta graduated the University of Missouri- Columbia in 2013 and is a Project Manager here at Axis Hospitality.

Jodi Blaker, the Director of Design for Axis Hospitality has over 12 years of experience in the Hospitality Field working with Branded and Boutique hotels alike. She has a drive and passion to create a lasting impression working closely with clients to make their vision a reality. As a forward thinker Jodi keeps appraised of Industry trends and developments bringing creativity and vivid expression always with the utmost attention to detail.

Heather Schieferle brings over 8 years of experience to Axis in freight management and warehousing. She has a natural confidence in her abilities to ensure that every shipment in each project is on time with project schedules and consistent with the project’s budget.
Her managerial skills help her team to stay organized, motivated, and supported every day. She expertly plans each shipment using the best logistics solutions for the client and can handle any logistics challenge thrown her way. Jerry assists the operations department in many areas such as LTL tracking and tracing, scheduling pick-ups, and making sure our customer’s shipments are on schedule. In addition, he also assists in freight auditing and billing. Jerry’s expertise extends into freight classifications in which he educates our customers on their commodities and shipping class. His years of experience in customer service have added priceless value to our team. Jerry received his Associates of Arts Degree from Forest Park – St. Louis Community College and is currently working on his Bachelors in Business Administration.
Erin has over 12 years’ experience in customer service and studied Mass Communications at Lindenwood University. She supports our team in many different areas, from LTL/ truckload tracking and tracing to carrier rate negotiations. Erin is responsible for scheduling pickups, quoting rates to our customers, as well as providing our customers with the best options to fit their transportation needs. Her impeccable customer service skills shine to every customer she interacts with. When they work with Erin they understand the shipment will not only happen, but will be followed through until delivered.
Kathy is a veteran in logistics with over 35 years of experience. She has worked in all facets of the industry from government logistics, inventory management, operations management and time sensitive logistics operations.
She obtains solid experience in domestic transportation guidelines and regulations and is able to collaborate with freight forwarders and custom brokers to ensure delivery requirements are met. Kathy succeeds everyday at negotiated costs, spot bids and executing. She is very experienced in several technology programs such as NLMI, Active Aero, and Ryder Logistics LMS systems.
Tom Harris has been in the transportation and logistics industry for over 25 years. Tom was formally the owner of an asset based transportation company and managed operations for many clients.
Tom expertly leads our domestic team at headquarters in St. Louis. From managing his team and instilling exemplary customer service he also works with customers in carrier price negotiation. He thrives on reaching out to new clients and analyzing competitor logistics programs to help current and potential clients reduce their costs and alleviate inefficiencies in their supply chains.
Tom manages a team of experts in every area of logistics, including LTL, Truckload, and Expedite. Tom’s team can take any freight issue and scenario and turn it into a success.
